PRIVATE TREATY CONSIGNMENT SERVICE

RULES AND BENEFITS

NOTE: Any reference to Steven Haddock in these rules also refers to any of his employees, successors or assigns.

1. All items to be sold through consignment must be mounted on my sheets designed for the purpose. Stamps must be securely mounted by hinge, stamp mounts, or in glassine envelopes taped or glued to the page. Stamps must also be easy to remove from the sheet. Stamps may only be mounted on the non-printed side of the sheet. Stamps mounted on Blue, Yellow and Pink sheets will be sold for trade credit. Stamps mounted on Green sheets will be sold for cash.

2. Stamps on Yellow, Pink and Green sheets need not be identified by catalogue number or catalogue value, but must be priced with the price circled. Any catalogue may be used to identify stamps, but the catalogue used must be identified on the outside of the sheet. Stamps on Blue sheets must be identified by Scott number and Scott catalogue value. The price must appear below the stamp. ALL PRICES MUST BE IN CANADIAN DOLLARS.

3. Yellow and Blue sheets must be limited to one of the categories listed in the Demand List section of Trading Talk or the web site. Penny-nickel approvals and Wholesale per 100 are not allowed. Green sheets can only be submitted for the areas listed in the demand list which are marked with a "$" designation as being needed in large quantities. Pink sheets can only be submitted for the areas listed in the Demand List which are marked with a "Z" or "$" designation as being needed. Covers and Souvenir Sheets must be mounted on sheets. Green and Pink sheets not listed as needed may be accepted at Steven Haddock's discretion.

4. Blue sheets must be priced at or below the percentage of Scott's catalogue value as indicated by the second number following the area listing in the Demand List, or the price for that stamp on my Wholesale List, whichever is lower. The maximum price is determined by the area of the sheet, not the type of stamp, and is fixed at the lowest applicable percentage. Mixed sheets are allowed at only the "Worldwide" or "Topical" percentage. No stamps with a catalogue value of 20 cents, or a net price of less than 10 cents are allowed on Blue Sheets. Yellow, Green and Pink sheets can be priced at the owner's discretion.

5. Sheets may be rejected for prices that are too high, poor mounting, items which are not clearly priced, or damaged items not so identified. Green and Pink sheets can be rejected if the material on them is no longer in demand. Acceptance of material for consignment is solely at the discretion of Steven Haddock.

6. Stamps on consignment will be held for one year or until the value of the sheet is under $1.00 Canadian, at which time they will be retired. Green and Pink sheets may be retired when the material is no longer in demand. The net sale price of the Blue sheets, minus 30% commission, will be added to the customer's credit on receipt. CREDIT FOR STAMPS SOLD ON OTHER SHEETS WILL NOT BE CREDITED UNTIL THE SHEETS ARE RETIRED.

7. Credit for stamps sold on Yellow sheets will be broken down as follows: 80% of sales will be credited to your account for purchase of approvals. 20% of sales will be retained by Steven Haddock as commission. Credit for stamps sold on Green sheets will be broken down as follows: 70% of sale will be paid to you in cash. 30% of sale will be retained as commission. For cash payments, the customer will be charged for bank and postal charges involved in payment. There is no commission on Pink sheets. 100% of sales from Pink sheets will be credited to your account for purchase of approvals. The 30% commission on Blue sheets will be taken off the credit given for the net sale price of the sheets when they are submitted, and will be credited back to the net price of unsold stamps on retired sheets. NOTE THAT TRADING CREDIT CAN ONLY BE CONVERTED TO CASH AT A 20% DISCOUNT. CASH CONVERSIONS COUNT AS A SPECIAL ORDER AND MAY TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS TO PROCESS.

8. ADVANCES: Credit for future sales of material from Yellow and Pink sheets on consignment may be advanced at the request of the customer and at the discretion of Steven Haddock. Credit for Blue sheets, minus the 30% commission, will be given immediately on receipt of the sheets. Advances will be given based on the expected future sales of the material sent. Any credit advanced on Yellow and Pink sheets which is not covered by future sales must be made up in bulk trade credit, Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars, or mint stamps of your country at the prevailing rate. Any debit for retired Blue sheets may be made up for in the same manner. Retired stamps may be held for security for payment of outstanding advances or debits from retired Blue sheets.

9. Any customer who wishes to withdraw his or her material before it is retired must give Steven Haddock SIX MONTHS NOTICE of his or her intention to do so to allow return of material which is out on approval. Final settlement of credit owing to the customer or to Steven Haddock will be made at that time.

10. Consignment material on Green, Yellow and Pink sheets remains the property of the customer until the material is sold. Steven Haddock is responsible for any loss or theft of the customer's stamps, or damage to the customer's stamps, however caused, from the time they come into Steven Haddock's possession until the time they are delivered back to the customer's address. Blue sheets are considered the property of Steven Haddock until the sheets are retired. Customers are advised to ship material for consignment with a net value of over $600 Canadian by Registered Air Mail. Return shipments will be sent insured to the full value of the shipment.

11. There is a charge for consignment sheets (currently, 7 cents each), plus applicable taxes. Sheets may be requested at any time, and paid for in trade credit (with a 25% premium), Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars, or mint postage of your country. Sheets will be sent postpaid with approvals, otherwise, postage is extra. Customers are welcome to print their own sheets, but sheets which do not match my sheets in style, size and colour will be rejected.

12. Steven Haddock reserves the right to offer a discount on material which is sold on consignment. However, any such discount will be fully charged against Steven Haddock's commission.

13. All legal rights and obligations which are not spelled out above will be resolved as if a contract existed between Steven Haddock and the customer and as if this contract had been signed at Toronto, Ontario and was subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

14. Collection of taxes on sales of consigned material is the responsibility of Steven Haddock. Customers are responsible to pay any taxes owing from the sale of the material to Steven Haddock.
